Our wedding photoshoot =)
Sunday, April 3rd, 2005Yen and I took our photos for our wedding, something to remember these times by for us, on Mon, 21 Mar 05. We had taken a wedding package with POPULAR HONEYMOON AND BRIDAL STUDIO in JURONG EAST ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE at the end of last year. We had seen similar packages almost everywhere else in IMM and all the photo studios; what made us pick this one was because of the great looking pictures they displayed there and that they had a way to make us feel that taking pictures with them would come to no wrong.
And so we turned up at 10:00 a.m. at the studio to meet the make-up artist for Yen to do her make-up. Me? I spent the time i had to put the buttons on my military number one uniform. Turns out that it was so long that i’ve worn one, that i kinda forgot how to place the buttons on! Haha…
We took our first batch of photographs in our casuals. The photographer and his assistant were two guys who knew how to make us feel at home with them. We changed into at least two different suits / gowns before she slipped into the white bridal gown (awww… Yen looks just lovely!) when I got into the ceremonial number one for more pictures. By the time we were done with the indoor shoot, it was five-plus in the evening and we were ready to move out to do location shooting.
We had no idea of where to go; Yen suggested Changi Jetty where she particularly likes. En-route there, we stopped at our first location shoot at a block of old dilapitated building of the old Royal British Engineers (after Changi village, a little before Changi jetty), i guess. We shot photos there. By that time, i was beat, but didn’t want that to spoil our day and memories of the process of our getting together.
There was a couple leaving Changi Jetty when we reached the place. Seems like the place is a popular location to shoot wedding pictures?! Still, we went ahead and continued to banter with the photographer, Jeffrey, and his assistant who rather be known as "Shuai-ge". Yen and I had fun, great fun.
We finished off bu seven-plus (was it eight-plus??), all of us ate at this hawker center at Changi Village, and made our way back to the studio office. Drop-dead tired, but more importantly, enjoying the day fully.
We flew off the next morning to Hong Kong for a very enjoyable four-day trip with my mum… =)
